NFC Smart Posters Make Debut in U.S.

NFC (Near Field Communication) Smart Posters have hit the streets of New York City for the first time in U. S. history. Mobile smartphone users can touch their phone to the sign at bus shelters throughout NYC to immediately download a video trailer for Basketball Wives on VH1. The long awaited technology known as NFC utilizes RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) communication through radio waves to transfer content and data at a short distance to NFC enabled smartphones with RFID readers. There are currently only a few handsets available with this technology but many more are coming. Google is putting a lot of stock into NFC using it as the foundation for their m-commece wallet solution. This is an exciting first step into a new world of signage advertising that engages with frictionless digital transfers to mobile consumers. It's easy to see why from these pictures and video. FRICTION-LESS. Enjoy.
